On September 15th, 2024, Youth took action against climate change in Odisha! 50 young leaders
participated in a plogging event & environmental awareness program at Jhumka Dam, organized by
Sambad Group, UNICEF's Youth4Water Plus Campaign, Sattvic Soul & SOS Village.
On 15th September Volunteers from Eco Gatha, Beyond Waste and YouthforSustainability came together today to create a stunning 8x4ft Waste Art Installation, themed around climate change at Utkal Kanika Galleria Mall. Crafted entirely from old newspapers, this artwork serves as a powerful reminder that by upcycling and embracing sustainability, we can heal the Earth and ensure a brighter, more sustainable future for all.
On 19th of September Beyond Waste and volunteers of YouthforSustainability came together, in front of The BOMBAI Cafe Bhubaneswar, to celebrate upcycling and spread awareness towards responsible fashion by giving old clothes a new story: #pastforwardrobe - an innovative cloth painting upcycling initiative for a better tomorrow which served as a powerful reminder to protect earth and be a responsible consumer.
On 28th September, a poster-making workshop on climate change was held at Balasore Art College, organized by Youth4Water Plus in collaboration with May I Help You and Sambad Groups. Fifty youth participated, with prizes awarded to the top three. Distinguished guests, including the Chairman of Balasore Municipality and the District Information Officer, praised the participants' creativity and environmental awareness.
